INDICATION

Sacvalz 49/51mg Tab is indicated for the treatment of symptomatic chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) in adults. It is used to lower the risk of cardiovascular death and hospitalization due to worsening heart failure symptoms. This mid-strength formulation is typically the standard starting dose for most adult patients who are currently on an ACE inhibitor, ARB, or a low-dose sacubitril-valsartan regimen. MECHANISM OF ACTION

Sacvalz 49/51mg works through two combined actions. DRUG INTERACTIONS

Potassium-sparing diuretics, potassium supplements, and drugs that elevate serum potassium increase the risk of hyperkalemia and require careful monitoring. NSAIDs may blunt the antihypertensive effects and worsen renal function. Statins, particularly atorvastatin, may increase plasma concentrations. Lithium toxicity risk may increase when co-administered with valsartan-containing products.
