INDICATION
Luxia Cream is a topical antifungal indicated for the treatment of superficial dermatophytosis including tinea pedis (athlete's foot), tinea cruris (jock itch), and tinea corporis (ringworm) caused by susceptible organisms.
MECHANISM OF ACTION
Luliconazole is an imidazole antifungal with potent fungicidal activity at clinical concentrations. It inhibits lanosterol demethylase (CYP51), blocking ergosterol biosynthesis in the fungal cell membrane. The resulting ergosterol depletion increases membrane permeability and causes fungal cell death. Luliconazole has the lowest minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) among topical azoles for dermatophytes, allowing effective treatment with once-daily application for shorter durations.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
● Apply a thin layer to the affected area and approximately 1 inch of surrounding skin once daily
● For tinea pedis: treat for 2 weeks
● For tinea cruris and corporis: treat for 1 week
● Do not apply to eyes, mouth, or vaginal area
● For external use only
SIDE EFFECTS
Common:
● Mild application site irritation
● Contact dermatitis at the treated area
Less common:
● Cellulitis in rare cases
● Allergic reaction in very rare cases
NOT RECOMMENDED IN
● Known hypersensitivity to luliconazole or any imidazole antifungal
● Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes
● Not for ophthalmic, oral, or intravaginal use

No significant systemic drug interactions due to minimal topical absorption.
