INDICATION

Hairfin 1mg Tab is a selective 5-alpha reductase inhibitor indicated for the treatment of male pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia) in men. It is used to slow hair loss, promote hair regrowth, and improve hair density and thickness in men experiencing vertex and mid-scalp thinning. Hairfin is a clinically proven, once-daily oral treatment that requires consistent long-term use to maintain results. It is exclusively for use in adult males and is not indicated for use in women or children. Results are typically visible after 3 to 6 months of continued therapy.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

Finasteride works by selectively inhibiting Type II 5-alpha reductase, the intracellular enzyme responsible for converting testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). By reducing DHT levels in the scalp and serum, Finasteride reverses the miniaturization of hair follicles caused by DHT, thereby restoring and sustaining normal hair growth in men with androgenetic alopecia.
