INDICATION

Castor Oil BP 25ml is a stimulant laxative indicated for the short-term treatment of constipation and for bowel evacuation before radiological procedures, colonoscopy, and abdominal surgery. It is also used topically as an emollient for dry skin conditions, scalp and hair care, and as a base in various pharmaceutical and cosmetic formulations. When taken orally, it acts as a potent laxative with rapid onset of action.

Medicinal Uses

·        Constipation Relief The only FDA-recognized medical use. It stimulates intestinal movement and softens stool. Effective but can cause cramping and diarrhea, so short-term use only.

·        Skin Moisturizer Rich in fatty acids, it hydrates skin without additives. Works on both face and body.

·        Anti-inflammatory and Antimicrobial Preclinical studies show it has antioxidant, antimicrobial, and wound-healing properties due to ricinoleic acid's unique chemical structure.

SIDE EFFECTS
