INDICATION

Azvac Tab is a comprehensive multivitamin and mineral supplement used to prevent and treat nutritional deficiencies. It is indicated in conditions associated with poor dietary intake, malabsorption, increased nutritional demands during pregnancy and lactation, recovery from illness or surgery, and as a general health supplement to maintain immune function, energy metabolism, and overall wellbeing.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

Each tablet provides a combination of essential vitamins including A, B-complex (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12), C, D, E, and K, along with key minerals such as zinc, iron, magnesium, and calcium. These micronutrients serve as cofactors for hundreds of enzymatic reactions, support red blood cell formation, maintain nerve and immune function, contribute to bone health, and protect cells from oxidative damage.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

•      Adults and children above 12 years: 1 tablet once daily with a meal

•      Can be taken with or without food; taking with food reduces gastric irritation

•      Do not exceed the recommended daily dose unless directed by a physician

•      Pregnant women should consult a doctor before taking any supplement

SIDE EFFECTS

Common:

DRUG INTERACTIONS

Multivitamins containing iron can reduce the absorption of tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones, and levodopa; separate dosing by at least 2 hours. Calcium in multivitamins may reduce the absorption of thyroid hormones and bisphosphonates. Vitamin K may reduce the anticoagulant effect of warfarin; patients on warfarin should maintain consistent supplement intake. Fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) can accumulate with excessive or prolonged use alongside other vitamin-containing supplements.
