INDICATION

Ufrim 20mg Tab is an SSRI antidepressant indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) in adults. The 20mg dose is the maximum recommended therapeutic dose and is typically prescribed for patients who have not achieved an adequate response to 10mg after at least one week of treatment. DRUG INTERACTIONS

MAOIs, linezolid, and methylene blue are contraindicated. Use with other serotonergic drugs such as SNRIs, triptans, tramadol, and lithium increases the risk of serotonin syndrome. NSAIDs, aspirin, and anticoagulants raise the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. CYP2C19 inhibitors like omeprazole and cimetidine can increase escitalopram levels, especially at higher doses. Drugs that lower potassium or magnesium, including diuretics, may increase the risk of QT prolongation.
