INDICATION
Cova-H 160/12.5 Tablet is used for the treatment of hypertension. It helps lower high blood pressure, reducing the risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney complications. The combination of valsartan and hydrochlorothiazide works synergistically to control blood pressure more effectively than either agent alone. Cova-H is suitable for patients who require dual therapy for optimal blood pressure control.
MECHANISM OF ACTION
Valsartan blocks angiotensin II receptors, relaxing blood vessels, while hydrochlorothiazide promotes sodium and water excretion through the kidneys to lower blood pressure.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
● Take once daily as prescribed
● Swallow with water
● Can be taken with or without food
● Do not skip doses or stop abruptly
● Regularly monitor blood pressure
SIDE EFFECTS
● Dizziness or lightheadedness
● Increased urination
● Muscle cramps
● Electrolyte imbalance (rare)
● Fatigue

Pregnancy, severe kidney impairment, or hypersensitivity to valsartan or thiazides.
