INDICATION

Cilavit UC-II Tab is a joint health supplement containing undenatured type II collagen combined with calcium and vitamins. It is used to support joint comfort and mobility in patients with osteoarthritis and joint pain. UC-II collagen works through oral tolerance mechanisms to reduce cartilage inflammation and promote joint health.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

Undenatured type II collagen (UC-II) from chicken sternum cartilage, when taken orally, is presented to gut-associated lymphoid tissue, inducing oral tolerance to type II collagen. This immune re-education suppresses autoimmune-like attacks on articular cartilage, reducing synovial inflammation and slowing cartilage breakdown. Calcium, vitamin D, and vitamin C in the formulation support bone mineralization and collagen synthesis.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

•      Adults: 1 tablet once daily, preferably in the morning on an empty stomach

•      Consistent daily use for at least 90 days is recommended for full benefit

•      Can be taken with a small amount of water

•      Not a substitute for prescribed arthritis medications

SIDE EFFECTS

Common:

•      Mild gastrointestinal discomfort initially

•      Rare: nausea if taken without water

Less common:
